Every month we hold an article competition.The monthly article competition serves as a platform for volunteers to showcase their writing skills and contribute to the HealthWave community. Each volunteer has the opportunity to submit up to 2 articles per month, allowing for a diverse range of topics and perspectives to be explored. Not only does participation in the competition provide an avenue for self-expression, but it also offers many benefits, with each article earning the writer four service hours, recognizing their dedication and effort.  The incentive of earning service hours incentivizes consistent participation and encourages volunteers to share their knowledge and experiences with the community. Furthermore, the competition highlights the importance of effective communication in promoting health and well-being. At the end of each month, the top two articles are selected by a panel of judges, who assess them based on criteria such as relevance, clarity, and creativity. The authors of these winning articles receive certificates in recognition of their achievement and have the honor of having their work published on the Health Wave website, reaching a wider audience and making a meaningful contribution to the dissemination of valuable health information.
